JSW Energy Limited (JSWEL) ((BSE: 533148|NSE: JSWENERGYEQ) a subsidiary of the JSW Group based in Mumbai.[4][5] JSW Energy was incorporated in 1994. JSW Energy has 995 MW, of operational generating capacity and 2145 MW of generating capacity in the construction or implementation phase. The company has four power plants in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhatisgarh and West Bengal.
On 24th November, 2010 Sajjan Jindal, JSW energy chairman signed an agreement with the management of CIC Energy today to buy them out and take control of the company [6]
